Sage North America today announced that small and midsized businesses (SMBs) are saving time and reducing complexity using the new Sage Exchange Payment Management System to consolidate all of their payment activity onto one platform. In an always-on, 24-7 world, SMBs can use Sage Exchange to easily monitor and manage the payments from all their sales environments: on the web, over the phone, through mobile devices, or at their storefront.
That consolidated activity and information can be accessed and administered online from anywhere, using a single user name and password. SMBs can manage not only credit card transactions, but also gift cards, mobile payments, and checks in real-time, allowing for better control of their cash flow.
“We used to connect our website to Sage for processing and use the Sage Virtual Terminal to pull reports and collect payments against orders,” explained Steve Brown, founder of Zephyr Hardware, a Columbia, Md.-based provider of mobile point of sale (POS) and other services for the U.S. and worldwide restaurant and hospitality industry. “To access reports, we needed separate log-in information to get to a separate web site. Now, with Sage Exchange, everything is resolved under one umbrella, which saves us a lot of time and is huge for our small but rapidly growing company.”
“Sage Exchange allows us to combine our 20 merchant IDs (MIDs) into one place, [and] I can easily go from the dashboard to the virtual terminal and do all the batch reporting in one place,” said Crystal Lowrance, accounting manager for Scottco, an Amarillo, Texas-based provider of plumbing, drain cleaning, heating, air conditioning, and electrical repair, replacement, and maintenance services.
Sage Exchange also allows businesses to connect their Sage accounting or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to their payment devices for automated reconciliation of payment activity, plus access the Sage support group or self-service portal.
The new Sage Exchange Payment Management System was built on three core components:
